The First Burn
Allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the jar. This helps prevent tunneling and sets the foundation for an even burn.
Wick Trimming
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. A shorter wick keeps the flame steady, reduces soot, and helps your candle last longer.
Burn Time
Burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time. Short burns can cause tunneling; overly long burns can overheat the vessel.
Avoid Drafts
A flickering flame usually means the candle is near a vent, fan, or open window. Keep your candle in a calm space for the cleanest burn.
Natural Wax Variations
Because our candles are made with natural wax and poured by hand, subtle variations are normal:
Wet spots: Wax may pull away from the glass with temperature changes.
Uneven tops or small sinkholes: Natural settling during cooling.
Minor texture differences: A hallmark of artisanal, small‑batch candles.
These variations are cosmetic and do not affect performance.
Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains.
Storage
Store your candle in a cool, dry place with the lid on to protect the fragrance and keep dust away.
Some of our vessels are designed without lids. If yours doesn’t include one, simply store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the fragrance and keep dust away.
Reusing the Vessel
Once the candle is finished, warm the remaining wax, wipe clean, and repurpose the jar for brushes, matches, or small botanicals.
